The Blue Cat
I had to make this quilt.
First I saw the pattern for this quilt. I was interested. Then I saw the kit. I had to have it. And it was about the time that I knew I was going to create this website, and I knew this blue cat would be perfect for the front page. It is from a pattern called Porcelain Cat from Quilt Poetry™ designed by Jane Spolar. Check out her website to see her colorfully rich and complicated appliqué patterns. This pattern is the tamest on the site. But those designs are easier to make using her raw machine appliqué method which she demonstrates on her website. The quilt is 26" x 31". It is hand appliquéd and quilted.
