Perfect Circles™
Karen Kay Buckley has created a great tool for making perfect circles. This package contains fifteen different circle sizes, four of each size, ranging from 7/16" to 2". She has a second product called Bigger Perfect Circle“ ranging in size from 2 1/4" to 4 1/2". They are made from heat resistant plastic and you can use them over and over again. The price range is $13 to $15.

One excellent additional piece of advice that came from my friend Elaine Walizer who introduced me to this product: after tracing around the circles, don't cut them out of the fabric. Leave them attached to the larger piece of fabric while you do the basting because it is easier to handle. And if you are making a lot of circles, baste them all and then cut out only what you need for the moment so they don't get misplaced.
