Handkerchief Challenge
I Collect These
I collect blue and white ceramic kitty figurines. Is anyone surprised? We were given a challenge in Mini-Makers to make a quilt from a handkerchief, and Diana Perry graciously let us rummage through her collection. When I saw a particular hankie I knew I would make it into a representation of my "Blue Cats".
I appliqued the blue flowers from the hankie onto a white-on-white fabric. I embroidered the face and tail. I simply outline quilted the appliquéd cat and flowers on this 11" x 18" miniature made in 2006.
